Friday will be another hot afternoon with near record highs in the upper 80s. The record is 88 degrees set in 1962. The weekend will only dip slightly into the lower to mid 80s with a subtle wind shift on Saturday. That will mean temperatures ‘only’ in the 70s along the coast and low 80s inland. Sunday looks hotter with temperatures climbing into the mid and upper 80s. The new work week remains hot before, finally, a cold front arrives on Tuesday.
