'We can't park on our own street due to plague of RATS - it's horrendous'

A RAT infestation on a Glasgow street has sparked a parking row between local residents and the council.

The vermin outbreak in the area has led to Glasgow City Council being forced to place huge wheelie bins in parking bays.Residents are struggling to find spacesThe council said that it is currently "unsafe" to do normal bin collections in the usual bin shed due to a rat infestation. But now residents are struggling to find parking spots with multiple bins taking up space on the road. Many are concerned that the bins will lie there for months with nothing being done about the infestation.

One resident who has lived in the area for 11 years said that finding a parking spot is extremely difficult.: "There’s a controlled parking zone introduced within the last six months so parking is already at a premium. "Parking was already horrendous so frequently you would have to circle and circle to try and find a space.
