Child Protective Services has been investigating the couple and their six young children and officials said Jacklyn Davidson fled with the children on Nov. 30 after Child Protective Services was granted temporary custody of them.

But Derek Ritchie, the Davidson’s lawyer, said CPS overstepped its authority and unnecessarily removed the children from their home. Child Protective Services has been investigating the couple and their six young children and officials said Jacklyn Davidson fled with the children on Nov. 30 after Child Protective Services was granted temporary custody of them.

Ritchie said that Jacklyn Davidson had reached out to CPS in September 2020 after one of her children made an outcry of sexual abuse by an older sibling. The Davidson family removed the accused sibline from their house immediately and contacted CPS about the allegations. It wasn’t until September 2022 that CPS contacted Jacklyn Davidson asking to speak to the children, but she refused.
