Alberta RCMP are warning residents to be aware of multiple scams that are being reported from cheap asphalt to paving scams.

On April 20, Fort Saskatchewan RCMP received similar reports of the same scam in their area and are asking residents to be on the alert.Police offer some tips to avoid being a victim of these types of scams: hire a known, reputable businesses, make sure to check the credentials of the workers, and don’t pay in full until the work is done.
The suspects often have limited or no company details on their equipment or vehicles, or they provide a business card that only has a first name.
