An area in the centre of St. John’s is being affected by a watermain break.
As a result, Bonaventure Avenue, from Empire Avenue to Mayor Avenue, is closed at least until midnight.The city says no vehicles or local traffic, including those visiting family, friends or businesses, will have access, and all traffic will be detoured.The break also forced Brother Rice Junior High school to suspend classes and dismiss students early.
