The looming water problems in the Carletonville and Fochville area have still not been averted.
The Merafong City Local Municipality says it will still talk to Rand Water about their threat to curb water due to non-payment by the municipality.
According to Rand Water Merafong owes them R1 011 020 113, of which the municipal council has only paid R28 000 000 over the past three months. This amount only accounts for 2.77% of their overdue debt.
