In the 2022/2023 financial year, the City of Cape Town’s Water and Sanitation Directorate spent just over R53 million in procuring jet machine trucks, vacuum tanker trucks and jet vacuum combination trucks.

‘Besides using these trucks for normal daily operations, these trucks also play an important role in proactive measures such as jetting sewer pipes to remove the build-up of sand and waste items, such as litter, material, rubble, wet wipes, fats and oils, that do not belong in the sewer network, to help reduce overflows.Grab this deal for a live paella-making demo and catering for 20 people in Cape Town for R4 399 .

These new concept trucks have one tank compared to previous trucks of its kind that had two tanks. They have a dual capability and can unblock sewer drains and suction raw sewage. The rear section of the tank is for raw sewage and has a tank capacity of 4 000 liters and it can suction to – 60 bars which make this a very versatile operations vehicle.
