When Trevor Noah and Roger Federer stepped onto the wrong train, they enjoyed a ‘ride of a lifetime’ as part of a new tourism promotion campaign for Switzerland:
In the ad, the pair can be seen arguing about their presentation, with Noah insisting that it needs comedy, while Federer says it’s not needed, adding ‘Let’s just stick to the Grand Train Tour of Switzerland.’ Though the plan starts off well-organised, things quickly go pear-shaped when they step onto the wrong train without money or tickets.
Federer mentions that him and Noah are ‘brothers from a different mother’, a reference to the fact that both are half Swiss, half South African. A previous collaboration between the two in 2020 resulted in the largest attendance record for a tennis match. Nearly 52 000 fans rocked up to Federer’s match against Rafael Nadal in Cape Town. Noah teamed up with Nadal against Federer and Bill Gates during the curtain raiser doubles match.
