The two men take his phone before attacking the victim, supposedly because he was refusing to give them his belongings.
It what appears to be a rise in broad day traffic stop robberies, another motorist was robbed and beaten up on Cnr Malibongwe and Oxford road in Johannesburg on Tuesday.
In a video posted by Twitter user Reneilwe Sekgobela, two men can be seen approaching a white Cleo and attacking the motorist through the open driver’s window. They start attacking him, supposedly when he hesitates to give them his belongings, as other motorists look on and drive away when the traffic starts moving.
“Literally just witnessed a robbery on Cnr Malibongwe and Oxford road. Two guys walking like normal civilians. Be vigilant guys,” said Sekgobela.“We were only able to help him once those guys left, we offered to call anyone for him or drop him off so he could get his spare keys… he got beat up badly though. The car assistance people came and helped him too, I hope he’s okay now,” she said.Literally just witnessed a robbery on cnr Malibongwe & Oxford road.
