Watch The 2024 Corvette E-Ray Go Drifting In The Snow | Carscoops carscoops ⬇️
Corvette E-Ray is inching closer to production and has been showcased drifting through the snow in a special holiday celebration, albeit not on one of GM’s channels, but through a Corvette Forum member named “Corvette_Nut” who uploaded a short clip of the car on YouTube.
We’ve known about Chevrolet’s plans to electrify the C8 Corvette since before the new Stingray was presented in 2019 and the E-Ray is shaping up to be the perfect middle-ground between the entry-level model and the Z06.E-Ray using the Stingray’s same basic 6.2-liter naturally-aspirated V8 engine. This mill is usually good for 495 hp and may remain unchanged in the E-Ray. What will change, however, is the fitment of an electric motor driving the front wheels and a small battery pack in the floor.
Of course, it’s not just outright performance that will make the hybrid Corvette special. The inclusion of all-wheel drive will make it much more versatile and easier to drive in tricky conditions, as evidenced by this prototype drifting gracefully through the snow.Visually, the Corvette E-Ray will look very similar to the Z06.
