WATCH: Succession actor says jk_rowling is 'entitled' to transgenderism opinions
Cox appeared on the BBC’s Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg show to discuss a new reform parliament passed in his home country of Scotland in December that helps ease the process for transgender people to receive their Gender Recognition Certificate.
“I think she’s entitled to her opinion, she’s entitled to say what she feels—as a woman she’s very much entitled to say what she feels about her own body, and there’s nobody better to say that as a woman," Cox said. “So I do feel that people are being a bit high and mighty about their own attitude towards JK Rowling, quite frankly.”The new regulation in Scotland will allow for those as young as 16 to receive their GRC. Despite his defense of Rowling, Cox applauded the change.
