The conduct of officers involved in a videotaped arrest of a woman in Strand on Friday is being probed by Western Cape police after preliminary investigations found no basis to charge her.
The situation escalates when a police prisoner transport vehicle arrives. Another police member walks up to the woman and grabs her by her arm and drags her to the prisoner transport vehicle while the woman can be heard shouting, “Help me! Help me!”.
She said “courtesy, fairness, and treating all persons with dignity” was part of police training and orientation.
