Watch: Matthew Lani 'did nothing wrong' and might sue the State, says lawyer Dumisani Mabunda
Dumisani Mabunda, the attorney of the infamous social media"doctor", Matthew Lani, says Helen Joseph Hospital, where his client was arrested last month, and the department of health, could soon be the ones doing the defending if they decide to go through with their legal challenge to his arrest.
Lani was arrested while allegedly filming content for his TikTok account, on which he has amassed quite a following, while impersonating a medical doctor and claiming to work in the above-mentioned hospital. This, however, is only for entertainment purposes, according to his attorney, and does not mean he has broken any laws.South Africans need to be in the know if we want to create a prosperous future.
