[WATCH]: MaMkhize takes the hot seat over criminal past

MaMkhize has been in and out of court of fraud and corruption charges. This Sunday she'll address her criminal past on Carte Blanche...

The 49-year-old – who recently celebrated her birthday – is referring to a 2005 conviction for VAT fraud.

In 2013, MaMkhize – then married to Metro Cop turned tenderprenuer Sbu Mpisane – was arrested on charges of fraud and forgery.the Durban businesswoman was awarded over R140m worth of government tenders through her company, Zikhulise Cleaning, Maintenance, and Transport, after supplying false information to the Construction Industry Development Board.The charges were later dropped after the state failed to provide a forensic report.
