The defence in the trial-within-a-trial of the five men accused of killing former Bafana Bafana captain Senzo Meyiwa is expected to cross-examine State witness and police officer Vusumuzi Mogane on Monday, 6 November.
Last week Sergeant Vusumuzi Mogane told the Gauteng High Court in Pretoria that when they found accused 2 Bongani Ntanzi with a firearm and ammunition at his place in Rustenburg and that he was a person of interest in another case in Nongoma, KwaZulu-Natal.for the murder of the soccer star, Muzikawukhulelwa Sibiya, Bongani Ntanzi, Mthobisi Prince Mncube, Mthokoziseni Maphisa and Fisokuhle Nkani Ntuli.
Court proceedings normally start at 10:00, adjourn at 13:00 for lunch and resume again at 14:00. However, due to unforeseen circumstances on a particular day there are delays and sometimes court adjourns for either tea or lunch earlier than the set times indicated above.
