The trial within a trial of the five men accused of killing former Bafana Bafana goalkeeper, Senzo Meyiwa, is expected to resume on Tuesday, 17 October at the Gauteng High Court in Pretoria. The matter was postponed on Monday to grant newly appointed advocate Thulani Mngomezulu time to consult with accused 1 and 2.Last week, a trial within a trial commenced with retired police officer Mhlanganyelwa Mbotho testifying that he took Sibiya’s written confession. He also dismissed Sibiya’s claim that he was assaulted, suffocated and forced to sign the confession by police saying Sibiya is the one who told him that he wants to confess.
