Defence lawyer in the Senzo Meyiwa trial, advocate Zandile Mshololo is expected to cross-examine Constable Sizwe Zungu.
The defence in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial is expected to continue grilling State witness and police officer Constable Sizwe Zungu.
On Tuesday, 3 October, Zungu was accused of withholding information about those who allegedly shot Meyiwa on 26 October 2014 leading to the wrongful arrest of Zamokuhle Mbatha. Zungu is the first witness to testify that the accused know each other and he was with them at a social gathering at a hostel in Vosloorus the night Meyiwa was murdered at his girlfriend’s home Kelly Khumalo on 26 October 2014.
Court proceedings normally start at 10:00, adjourn at 13:00 for lunch and resume again at 14:00. However, due to unforeseen circumstances on a particular day there are delays and sometimes court adjourns for either tea or lunch earlier than the set times indicated above.
