A House Homeland Security subcommittee will hold a field hearing at the 9/11 memorial in New York City on Tuesday to discuss security threats and preparedness in a post-9/11 world.
Chairman Anthony D’Esposito will lead the Subcommittee on Emergency Management and Technology to"examine our nation’s evolving threat landscape over two decades after the September 11th terrorist attacks."Witnesses include members of the New York City fire and police departments, as well as Greg Ehrie, the port authority of New York and New Jersey.The field hearing comes following the 22nd anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
The Subcommittee on Emergency Management and Technology will begin the hearing at 9:15 a.m. Eastern time on Tuesday.
