'I've always enjoyed taking a song and switching up into something new. I've done a couple of amapiano covers before and turned them into RnB covers.'
Last September, Kea ventured into the music scene with her debut body-of-work, a five-track RnB EP titled“I'm a perfectionist. Perhaps it's not always the most positive thing but I take pride in the work that I do. And when I execute, I give my all. I think because of this, it has led me to pushing back my music because I was so busy with TV roles and my radio career.
“Being here, it made so much sense to finally give the world the truest essence of me, which is my music. Everything I do stems from my love for music.” Speaking of her career since making the transition into the industry, Kea said though it has been a rollercoaster she was happy to have finally fulfilled her lifelong dream.
“With any transition you're bound to face some ups and downs. But I'm the happiest behind a mic. So whatever comes, I'm taking my music all the way.”
