On Thursday, the Saturday Night Live comedian impressed Seth Meyers with her spot-on impression of the Democratic debate’s spacey breakout star.
McKinnon has already impersonated at least one other primary candidate,whom she said “looked like a girl on her wedding day when everyone who ever bullied her was getting a divorce” during her own primary debate Wednesday night. Still, the true delight of McKinnon’sappearance Thursday was her off-the-cuff impersonation of Williamson.
“My plan is to gather all the sage in America and burn it,” McKinnon-as-Williamson said. “My plan is to harness the energy of babies to finally put a man on the moon! And I said to the president of New Zealand, I said, ‘Girlfriend, you’re soto promote her latest film project,If you watch her appearance to the end, you’ll see a second, perhaps even more delightful impersonation of a Scottish woman who warned McKinnon about a swarm of bugs that tends to lurk in her ancestral Scottish homeland.
