Vogue. You could say the chaos of fashion month is nothing new for her; Fontana has juggled weeks of fittings, high-pressure shows, and late nights for more than a decade. Now a mother of two, the down-to-earth model also prioritizes spending plenty of time with her kids: “When I became a mom, everyone thought that my career was going to be done,” she says.
Fontana hasn’t stopped working since, and gave us a glimpse of her simple, streamlined morning routine to start the day off right. First, she brews a pot of green tea, then skips the “What to wear?” dilemma by relying on an easy uniform of graphic T-shirts, skinny jeans, and boots. All in all, getting ready takes less than 10 minutes—just enough time to grab a bite at her favorite Parisian cafe, Angelina, before Off-White’s call time.
Upon arriving at the venue, Fontana went straight backstage, where hairstylist Jawara slicked back her brunette waves, and Fara Homidi took the lead on her glow-y makeup look. “At Off-White, we let the girls speak for themselves,” Homidi told us. Before racing to change into her first look, Fontana ran into Carolyn Murphy and Noémie Lenoir, two other models in Abloh’s exceptionally diverse lineup .
