WATCH: GretaThunberg carried away by police during coal mine protest in Germany
Thunberg was protesting at the open-cast coal mine of Garzweiler 2 in the German village of Luetzerath. About 300 activists were reported to be demonstrating and preventing work toward the expansion of the mine. Police reported that one activist actually jumped into the mine. It's unclear whether the demonstrator was injured.
