Video released by Ukraine shows an 'extraordinary exchange' that took place in the control room of Ukraine's massive Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant in the moments before it fell into the hands of Russian military forces

Video released by Ukraine shows an"extraordinary exchange" that took place in the control room of Ukraine's massive Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant in the moments before it fell into the hands of Russian military forces.

"As this begins to unfold, he’s saying, 'Stop shooting immediately! You threaten the security of the whole world. The work of the vital organs of the Zaporizhzhya station may be disrupted. It will be impossible for us to restore it,'" Kiley said, translating a desperate plea from the Ukrainian side on the PA system.

When the battle ended, firefighters were able to put out the blaze, which was reported to be at a training building, and the International Atomic Energy Agency reported that there was no known leak at the power station.
