WATCH: Chaos as protesters disrupt GangsterState launch in Sandton
Johannesburg - Sandton City was the scene of chaos and disorder as protesters disrupted the Johannesburg launch of Pieter-Louis Myburgh's new book: Gangster State: Unravelling Ace Magashule’s Web of Capture.
Security was soon dispatched to remove the protesters, some clad in ANC regalia, who refused to leave the bookstore and instead could be seen tearing out pages from the book. The angry protesters told eNCA they decided to protest against the "propaganda" perpetuated against ANC members. — Penguin Books SA April 9, 2019 "We've grown tired of all the propaganda perpetuated against Africans, in particular those who come from the ANC," one protester said.
Tuesday evening's protest comes after the ANC Youth League Free State announced plans to burn copies of the book, which they labelled as "puke".
