WATCH: Jean-Marc Johannes, 29, holds five skateboarding Guinness World Records after recording the most nollies in half a minute this week.
Johannes, from Athlone, did 21 nollies in 30 seconds at Rondebosch Bowl on International Olympic Day.
Johannes had his sights set on being one of the first skateboarders to represent the continent at the Olympic Games, which have been postponed to next year. “I am very proud of him and all of his achievements because he has managed to build a career out of something that is very difficult to do in South Africa. He had to work extremely hard to achieve his goals and he never had anything handed to him,” she said.
