However, the drama was far from over as the Banyana players left their hotel to go to the match venue. Lesufi said some of the issues raised by the players included the calibre of the opposition [Botswana] ahead of the world cup, the condition of the Tsakane Stadium and some logistics within the team which included training facilities and backroom staff. But the main issue, said Lesufi, was that of of bonuses as it was not clear what offer Safa was putting on the table.
