Beleaguered Bafana Bafana boss Hugo Broos stormed off the field before the final whistle and later refused to take questions from the media after his team squandered a two-goal lead against Liberia at Orlando Stadium in Soweto, on Friday evening

As the Liberians erupted in jubilation, it was too hard for Bafana boss Broos to handle.

The journalists felt disrespected by Broos and accused the coach of trying to shift the responsibility to Mkhalele now that Bafana’s chances of qualifying have taken a nosedive.READ: The scribes insisted that Broos had no business boycotting his media obligations, and so Bafana team media officer Romy Titus duly dragged the coach into the press conference room at Orlando Stadium.

Bafana and Liberia are each on one point from two matches, after they both lost their opening matches to Morocco, semifinalists of last year’s Fifa World Cup in Qatar.
