Spring has sprung, prom is fast approaching, and Hulu knows it well. In time for prom season, the streamer is unveiling the first trailer for Prom Dates, starring Antonia Gentry and Julia Lester , and, boy, we are in for a treat. Written by D.J. Mausner and directed by Kim O. Nguyen , Prom Dates is an upcoming teen comedy that follows the story of two best friends, Jess and Hannah , who, at 13, make a pact to have the perfect prom no matter what.
In the trailer, which you can watch above, we see how Jess and Hannah break up with their respective boyfriends, Luca and Greg , the mastermind before the aforementioned promposal. Why do they break up 24 hours before prom? Good question; the answer is for very different reasons: Luca is a cheater, and Greg is, well, a man.
