A video of a Fidelity cash-in-transit van has gone viral on social media. But instead of the usual footage we're used to seeing of a van being hijacked, it's some good news.
The helping hand was an attempt to push-start the van due to some mechanical failure, even if one Fidelity guard was pushing the vehicle with one hand and holding his rifle in the other. News24 tried reaching out to Fidelity Services Group telephonically; however, staff members were unaware of the incident and have not yet responded to our written query at the time of publication.
"Motorists should only jumpstart their cars when absolutely necessary," says Jason Ravenscroft, Franchise Manager at Battery Centre, a specialist battery fitment network with more than 120 branches around South Africa.
