Improvements will allow Nova Scotia town to grow
“There is a lot of demand to live here,” Donovan said. “We are a magnet for people from other parts of Canada, from other parts of the world.”
“This is about growing communities,” Kings-Hants MP Kody Blois said. “This is about actually making sure that we have the ability for more people to enjoy everything Wolfville has to offer.” “You drive through many parts of our communities today, there’s not a whole lot of real estate whatsoever,” he said. “With that, we have to make sure that we have the infrastructure to keep up with the growing population and growing communities.”
Alexander de Sousa, the town’s director of engineering and public works, said the preliminary design work is expected to be done this year, with the town hoping to tender the project in 2024 and have it completed in March 2025.Although the current system is near capacity, town officials said it can handle everything until the project is complete.
