Steph Curry confirmed after Monday night’s loss to the Indiana Pacers that the video was doctored.
“It’s an ultimate compliment [for people] to probably be amazed by it but not think it’s outlandish that it could be real,” Curry said. “But we had some fun with it. The Sports Illustrated team coming with some heat.”
Klay Thompson shared his thoughts on the reaction to the video shortly after. He said the overwhelming belief by the general audience that the video could be real shows that Curry is “the greatest to ever shoot it.”“I thought three in a row, he could do that. But not five in a row,” Kerr said. “It was I think just the fact that it was Steph made people pause and wonder if it was real so that’s all you need to know about Steph, so pretty remarkable.
Curry might be the greatest shooter of all time, but five consecutive 90-foot baskets seems improbable for him. Or does it?
