Moses Moody's minutes have gone from a bad omen to a breath of fresh air from the Warriors' bench.
He also put some of his incredible effort toward Golden State’s plot to keep Domantas Sabonis from stomping on them. At 2:50 in the third quarter, he joined his teammates in collapsing on Sabonis, nearly forcing a shot-clock violation and kicking off a fast break that led to a deep, building-rattling Curry three. The Warriors know better than anyone that one win or one performance in a seven-game series only means so much.
Moody played a huge part in that. While he's not putting up superstar numbers, he's providing the valuable service of keeping the team's foot on the gas while the bench guys slowly trickle in. It's not clear how long this will last. But for now, the Warriors should recognize the fact that while they have the great chef in Stephen Curry, they just might want to let Moody cook a bit in the rotation, too.
