DETROIT — Klay Thompson was listed as out and Jordan Poole questionable on the Warriors’ injury report ahead of Sunday night’s tilt against the Detroit Pistons.
Curry played 39 minutes, Wiggins 40, Green 35, Thompson 32 and Poole 36 as the Warriors opted to go small in the defeat. After the game, Poole said he was “straight” and that his ankle was fine, though he had a subtle limp as he walked toward the team buses.
Thompson added 11 points on 14 shots in what has been an slow start to the season for the 32-year-old guard. Thompson is shooting at a 28.6% clip from 3-point range, converting on 14 of his 49 attempts from deep. He went 1-for-7 beyond the arc against the Hornets.
