Locals have been warned to avoid a road closure and close windows as firefighters tackle a blaze at an industrial estate.
Herts Fire and Rescue Service has confirmed that a fire at Lismarrane Industrial Park, Elstree Road, Elstree, is the cause of rising smoke that can be seen from the M1 and the Watford bypass. It was reported at around 7.30am and emergency services are still responding. After six fire engines were initially called, along with an aerial ladder, four more were called out for a total of ten engines at the scene.
