Android users are being urged to check their devices for the 12 potentially dangerous apps and delete them as soon as possible.
Security experts at Dr.Web discovered dozen of commonly used applications are actually infecting phones with highly irritating adware that bombards screens with sponsored messages. Despite the issue seeming annoyed opposed to concerning, experts explain that this type of scam could actually allow fraudsters to generate huge sums of money.
One app, Super Skibydi Killer, has been downloaded more than one million times. Another, called Agent Shooter, has been installed on around 500,00 devices. The apps have also been found to push users to dangerous investment scams in addition to annoying ads, with others pushing users to dubious casino sites.
