Police added “the victim entered Broadview Subway Station . . . approached the victim, grabbed , causing her to fall down the stairs” as he allegedly “fled the area with the purse.”Advertisement 3This is just another example of the crisis that is the reality of riding the TTC in 2023, where there are many troubled people on the service who are wreaking havoc on innocent people who are merely going on about their commute.
The subway system has effectively become a homeless shelter that also acts as a warming centre and hostel for people suffering from mental illness or from dependency issues.
