Houston area to see warm temperatures, fog, rain Wednesday
The National Weather Service in League City warned that visibility offshore could decrease to less than one nautical mile off the coast. The areas of dense fog could last until around 10 a.m. and linger even longer near the coast. The sea fog could reach as far inland as Humble, according to the weather service.Isolated showers were forecast before 9 a.m. today followed by scattered showers after noon. The rest of the day is expected to be cloudy, with temperatures reaching a high near 76.
Another cold front is expected to reach Southeast Texas on Thursday morning, passing through the Brazos Valley around midnight and the coast around sunrise. The front could cause some strong, but not necessarily severe, storms, according to the weather service. Drier and cooler weather is expected going into the weekend.
The high temperature for Wednesday in Galveston is predicted to be 66 degrees. It will be 77 degrees in College Station
