Kurtis McDermid will be hosting an open house at Scott Coffee Co. on Wednesday
Ward 3 candidate, Kurtis McDermid will be hosting an open house event to connect with residents on Wednesday.
With election season only a few months away, candidates are beginning to take to the streets and connect with the residents of Sault Ste. Marie in hopes of securing their votes. Ward 3 Councilor candidate Kurtis McDermid will be hosting an open house at local cafe Scott Coffee Co., where residents are free to ask questions and voice their concerns in a more comfortable fashion.
Following the initial open house, McDermid plans on hosting similar events every two weeks in the months leading up to the election, where voters have the opportunity to meet him and discuss the election, his platform, or just say hello. At these events, voters can learn more about McDermid’s platform, which focuses heavily on increasing the city’s tax base, reviving Sault tourism, and addressing ongoing issues affecting the city such as crime, vandalism, the opioid crisis and completing unfinished city projects.
