The 74-year-old Joel has sold more than 160 million records worldwide, ranking as the fourth best-selling solo artist ever. He has recorded 33 Top 40 hits, won six Grammy Awards -- including the Grammy Legend Award. He has been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the Songwriters Hall of Fame and is a Kennedy Center Honors inductee. He also won a Tony Award for “Movin’ Out,” a Broadway musical based on his music.
The 72-year-old Sting, born Gordon Sumner in northeast England, was the frontman for British supergroup The Police from 1977 until its breakup in 1986. As both a member of The Police and as a solo artist, he has won 17 Grammy Awards, a Golden Globe, an Emmy and been nominated four times for the Academy Award for Best Original Song.
Like Joel, Sting is a member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame , the Songwriters Hall of Fame, and a Kennedy Center honoree.
