Lower Allen Township police are looking for three people they say stole credit card information at a Walmart self-checkout line.
Police are looking for three people who placed credit card skimmers on self-checkouts in a Cumberland County Walmart in January.
Lower Allen Township Police are looking for Alin Velcu, Catalin Velcu and Ion Velcu on charges of access device fraud and use of unlawful devices in relation to the placement of the skimmers on Jan. 7, 2023. Security footage showed the three men enter a self-checkout line in Walmart and place two credit card skimmers, according to Lower Allen Township Police.
The skimmer devices collected credit card information that then allowed them to charge the cards. Eleven people had their cards charged in Maryland, Florida, Arizona, Texas and Virginia for thousands of dollars by multiple people, police said. Police are also looking for Madalina Iordache Ciuciu, who police said is one of the people who used the stolen credit card information to make purchased.
