Fans say they have been craving the flavour since they were children
Walkers is adding a new flavour to its range of crisps - Walkers Smokin’ BBQ Sauce. The addition joins the snack brand’s core range, including Cheese & Onion, Ready Salted and Salt & Vinegar, after years of demand for Walkers to bring a BBQ flavour to the mix.
Stephanie Herbert, Marketing Senior Brand Manager from Walkers said, “For years Walkers fans have been calling out for a BBQ flavour to join our core range. We’ve heard those calls loud & clear so we can’t wait for crisp lovers nationwide to try out the brand-new Walkers Smokin’ BBQ Sauce flavour!” Walkers was founded by Henry Walker, a butcher from Leicester. In 1948, due to post-war meat rationing, Henry Walker decided to diversify his business by producing potato crisps. The crisps were initially made in the back room of his butcher shop and sold locally. The company quickly grew in popularity due to its high-quality products.
