A passionate dog owner has decided to take over the running of a kennel and is looking for financial help
Ian Roberts is a busy family-man, running two businesses from his hometown of Morecambe. Now, as a lifelong dog owner and a love for his canine friends, Ian has decided to step in to help a kennel facing closure.
"So, to help keep the dogs safe and provide spaces for other rescue dogs, I'm looking to take over the kennel. It's hard though, you can't just rely on other volunteers and the staff have gone onto pastures new, so I'm having to find kennel staff. I'm just hoping to raise some money to help alleviate some of the costs for a month or two, until I can rent out some of the spaces and then it should pay for itself eventually.
Sakima, a 15-year-old Husky, was the dog that got Ian into a life of rescuing these animals. Tragically, Sakima passed away on Monday which was difficult for owner Ian. In order to allow Ian to take over the kennel, he will need at least one month's costing up front - a total of £3,000. This is a sum of money that he hopes to raise through public donations, which you can contribute to by visiting Ian's JustGiving page.
