Kriston has been pleasantly surprised that the young Bulldogs, who have an impressive win against Northern Lake County Conference leader Grant, have been able to work together so well. The team’s standouts include sophomore outside hitter Hadassah Brown and freshman opposite Alanna Turner. “I kept getting my ankles injured during each club season that I eventually had to stop to give them a rest,” she said. “I still want to play volleyball in college, so I have to keep working on getting stronger to have a chance.”Earlier in her career, Kriston was a middle hitter and a setter.

Kriston said she thinks Waukegan could be even more successful after she and senior Diamond Ford graduate.
