Vodacom will spend R340 million to expand broadband coverage in Free State and Northern Cape

In a bid to expand its broadband coverage in two provinces, Vodacom Central Region has announced it plans on spending R340 million this year alone. This sum will be used to expand coverage in rural areas of Free State and Northern Cape, upgrading base stations and improving network resilience. “Our network rollout programme last year brought internet to many communities in the region for the first time. This financial year we want to build on this achievement by extending broadband coverage and investing in network upgrades to increase access to connectivity.
