Presidential hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy mocked the impending government shutdown some hours before the funding deadline.
Ramaswamy appeared on Fox News's Cavuto Live on Saturday to comment on the debate on funding the government. Among the measures up for discussion is aid to Ukraine, which the Republican candidate has staunchly opposed United States involvement in the country's conflict with Russia."First, I want to say about the government shutdown debate broadly, I think it’s a fake and artificial debate if we’re being honest about it," Ramaswamy said.
At 37, Ramaswamy is the youngest facing off against former President Donald Trump, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson, former governor to New Jersey Chris Christie, former Texas representative Will Hurd, former Vice President Mike Pence, Sen. Tim Scott , Gov. Doug Burgum , Gov. Ron DeSantis , Miami Mayor Francis Suarez, political commentator Larry Elder, and businessman Perry Johnson in the race to win the GOP presidential nomination.
