The service, which began in November as a pilot, is described as “walk-in” since there are no appointments.Officials aim to expand it to additional mental health groups and the patients on their waitlists.should be available to youth across the province. It will provide immediate access to counsellors for brief periods, from anywhere.

“Children, youth, and their families are waiting too long to get the supports they need and the expansion of, designed and driven by community-based child and youth mental health agencies, will play a role in reducing those wait times and improving access to care,” said Tatum Wilson, CEO of Children’s Mental Health Ontario.
