The National Park Service is looking into the death of a teen buried when a sand dune collapsed at North Carolina's Cape Hatteras National Seashore.

Rangers responded around 2 p.m. to a 911 call about a teenager trapped in a hole near the off-road vehicle ramp 49 in Frisco, theFamily and friends had been looking for the teen when they found him buried in the hole and called for help, officials said. Officials warned visitors of the dangers of digging deeps holes on the beach at Cape Hatteras National Seashore in North Carolina.
Cape Hatteras National Seashore is located in Frisco, North Carolina. On Saturday, a 17-year-old died after portions of a sand dune collapsed and buried him inside a hole that had been dug.
