Vinzenz Rohrer scored 1:50 into overtime to lift the visiting Ottawa 67’s to a 6\u002D5 Ontario Hockey League victory over the Flint Firebirds on Friday night at…
Jack Beck scored twice for the 67’s while Logan Morrison had a goal and three assists. Anthony Costantini, and Brady Stonehouse had the other Ottawa tallies in regulation. Mintyukov chipped in with three assists. Max Donoso made 30 saves.
It took the 67’s all of a minute and 44 seconds to respond, however. Morrison, slid the puck to Beck, who found Costantini at the point, and a quick shot by the overage defender fooled Cranley, tying the game at 1-1. Ottawa again didn’t let the home side hold the lead for long, finding the tying marker on the power play with just less than two minutes to go in the frame. Morrison connected with Mintyukov at the Firebirds blue line, and his shot was tipped home by Stonehouse, knotting things up at 2-2.
