Mykhailo Korenovsky, the head coach of the Dnipropetrovsk region’s boxing team, was confirmed to be among the casualties of Saturday’s deadly air strike targeting a high-rise apartment complex home to about 1,700 people, Ukraine’s Boxing Federation said.
“Family celebrations took place in this kitchen, but the rocket of the invaders destroyed the life of the Korenovsky family forever,” read a post accompanying the heartbreaking video that was shared on the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Telegram account. “A loving husband and dad remained only on video.” Korenovsky was having lunch at home and getting ready to join his wife and children on a walk when the missile struck the apartment building, killing the boxing coach.By Monday, the death toll from the attack in Dnipro has reached 40, and 30 more people were still missing.The high-rise that was home to about 1,700 people was said to have been hit by an anti-ship missile fired by Russian forces.
