Passengers said that they didn’t hear from the ship’s captain or any crew members for hours during the massive storm.One passenger said the captain left the passengers “blind” during the powerful storm.Another passenger, Christa Seifert-Alicea, said they didn’t receive word from the captain or crew for more than 12 hours.
“Carnival Sunshine’s return to Charleston was impacted by the weather and rough seas on Saturday. Guests on board the ship were safe. Our medical staff helped a small number of guests and crew members who needed minor assistance,” the cruise liner said in a statement to WCIV.
